I’m a Craftaholic and addicted to DIY
I have a huge OOPS paint stash and a spray paint collection that would make any company proud. I LOVE repurposing tired used items into something new and functional. It’s both a challenge and one way that I keep my DIY project costs down. If you like that sort of thing too, check out a blog hop that I founded called The Thrift Store Swap. It was meant to be a one-time thing in Spring 2015 but it’s grown to be so much more!
I’m a Room Mom
There is something about school parties that I cannot resist. I love themed parties and seeing children smile. No matter how busy I am with the blog or MY classes, I can’t say no to helping out. It’s my weakness!
I’m a Veteran
I was a non-commissioned officer (NCO) in the United States Air force and after 14 wonderful years, I decided to be a stay at home mom. Here’s a picture of me from basic training. I’m also a military brat.

I’m a stressed out Student
I loved staying at home with my preschooler but saw an opportunity that was too good to pass up. I was accepted into Davenport University’s Nursing Program and will start clinicals in Fall 2016 (provided that I pass Chemistry). One day I will have my BSN through their Veteran to BSN program. It is an expedited program offered in only 20 private schools in the nation. I feel extremely blessed to be near one of those schools!
Last but not least, I’m an Arizona native trying to survive on the mitten
I have moved my whole life, but Arizona is where my roots are. I moved approximately every 3 years during my military service (and my father’s career). I have finally settled down into a small town called Midland, Michigan where there is SNOW. I am learning the art of shoveling and driving…sometimes at the same time.
Welcome to my not so conventional life. I try to keep things simplified while having fun at the same time. I’m scatter-brained and a little weird (I prefer eclectic) but I have amazing ideas if you give me a chance to voice them. DIY, crafts and blogging are my creative outlets. I make silly little mistakes along the way and part of my “therapy” is writing about it. LEARN from them…after you are done laughing at them of course! I hope that you find my posts somewhat useful. . .or at least entertaining.
