Snack Box tutorial by MidMichiganMom [ad] #MakeItAMovieNightBeing a family of 5, going to the movie theater as a family is definitely a luxury. Don’t get me wrong, one parent will take the older 2 to new movies, but we tend to leave the youngest with her short attention span at home. Winter is prime time for staying home to cuddle and we make a point to have a Family Movie Night at least once a month.

To bring on the full theater experience, we turn off the lights, turn on the surround sound and I make snack boxes to hold all of our goodies.

Doesn’t the M&M’S® Chocolate Candies Brownie look yummy? Here is how I made it.

I was excited to hear that War Room was out on Blu-Ray and DVD because my husband and I were not able to see it in the theater. We are huge fans of Alex and Stephen Kendrick’s work and believe that their movies provide strong messages that are rarely heard in modern day cinema. I made a trip to Walmart as soon as it was released!

The movie is rated PG-13 for some mature subject matter (such as relation problems and divorce)…we decided that it was appropriate for school age children to watch because it is a subject that is encountered everyday with classmates at school. Of course, the power of prayer is ALWAYS a fantastic subject for children of all ages to see, but I will let you be the judge if the War Room is appropriate for you family or not.
